Observation of characteristics of flight behaviour and vocalisation of Eptesicus fuscus and Myotis Septentrionalis while pursuing a target in a variety of situations. I hope to learn/determine

  • How bats modify their signal structure and behaviour when clutter (foliage) is introduced into their search environment
  • How bats react to multiple targets
  • The ability of bats to distinguish between edible and inedible targets
Behavioural ecology, evolutionary psychology, primate behaviour. My broad interests encompass many aspects of behaviour, but I hope to focus on primates when I return to graduate school.
